NASA beginning flight testing this week

NASA will be testing quiet sonic booms starting this week in Galveston using F-18 jets. The jets will be flying over the Gulf of Mexico near Galveston Island as part of a two-week project to assess public reactions to the noise.

The agency will be taking community surveys to get feedback on the sound levels of the sonic booms.

Visit their information booth at McGuire Dent Recreation Center at 28th and Seawall to learn more about the program.
