There are many ways to get involved with storm water pollution prevention in Galveston. The city sponsors twice-annual citywide clean ups that allow residents to get rid of unwanted materials and trash rather that throwing them into waterways.
In addition, the city operates a recycling center and bulk trash drop off points that allow residents to recycle and/or properly dispose of household chemicals or other items.
Citizens can also get involved by reporting storm water pollution or other concerns to the city's Public Works Department. This can be done either by calling 409-797-3630, or filling out the online form.
