Use of these standards does not relieve the Design Professional from adhering to engineering practices, applicable codes, etc. Where there is a conflict between the contents of these standard and applicable codes that which is more stringent will take precedence. It is the responsibility of the Design Engineer of Record, the developer and the contractor to follow acceptable engineering practices to promote the health, safety and welfare of the public and the environment in compliance with all laws along with relevant and appropriate requirements. When conflict occurs, the most stringent, compliant and protective standard applies.
