Consider for approval authorizing the City Manager to execute a Texas Department of Transportation, Aviation Division, Airport Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Grant Agreement in the amount of $59,000.00 to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus directly related to the Scholes International Airport upon the review and approval of the City Attorney (M. Consider For Approval The Acceptance Of A Donation From The Galveston Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association in the Amount of $17,379.44 for the Purchase of New SWAT Team Equipment. (D. Balli)

Consider for the approval allowing the Fleet Facility to purchase the listed rolling stock and associated equipment (John Deere Backhoe) from Doggett Heavy Machinery through Buy Board for a total price of $130,000 and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract upon final approval by the City Attorney. Consider for the approval allowing the Fleet Facility to purchase the listed rolling stock and associated equipment (Vehicles for Police, Marshal, and Parking Control) from Silsbee Ford Inc. through Good Buy for a total price of $701,365.00 and authorize the City Manager to execute the contract upon final approval by the City Attorney. Consider for approval, entering in to a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Center for Risked-Based Community Resilience Planning (CoE) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for the implementation of the NIST Playbook for Community Resilience Planning and IN-CORE, and authorize the City Manager to sign all documents upon the review and approval of the City Attorney. Consider for approval of quote from Flamingo Gardens Inc for the Downtown Pedestrian Transit Improvements Phase 2 project in the amount of $43,925.00 for trees, warranty, and watering. (D. Anderson)

Consider for approval the professional engineering services proposal from Freese & Nichols, Inc. (FNI), to prepare an Emergency Preparedness Plan for the City’s Water System to comply with the current requirements of the Texas Water Code Chapter 13 (Water Rates & Service) as amended by Senate Bill 3 (effective September 1, 2021) for a design fee of $28,400.00. Authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents upon final approval by the City Attorney. (R. Winiecke)

Consider for approval the sole source purchase from National Meter & Automation, formerly known as Badger Meter, for various water meters, meter parts, registers, transmitter combination and other ancillary equipment in the amount of $100,000.00. Consider for approval three-year annual maintenance contracts on the Water / Wastewater SCADA system and Programable Logic Controllers (PLCs) equipment at Supply Division Water Pump Stations, various Elevated Storage Tank facilities, Wastewater Treatment Plants and various lift stations from sole source provider Schneider-Electric Systems USA Inc. The cost of the annual contracts will be $166,022.00 for 2022, $171,618.00 for 2023 and $177,626.00.
