Work is beginning on a 24-inch water line project along Heards Lane. Residents will likely notice traffic control measures in place, however, two-way traffic along the roadway will be maintained during this phase of the project.
There will be rolling shoulder closures (not lane closures) in the eastbound lane of Heards Lane along the length of the road over the next several weeks, and we ask that drivers please use caution when passing workers on this roadway.
The water line will run from the pump station at 59th Street to the station at Scholes International Airport and will provide a backup supply of water to the area. Work started on the project earlier this year and will begin on the Heards Lane portion this week and continue for several weeks. The project also includes repaving Heards Lane.
