Summer safety items to remember

Summer Safety

We’re headed into another beautiful weekend on the island! 😎 Just a few things for all to remember as you enjoy Galveston:

  •  Keep our beaches pristine by throwing all trash in the designated bins. We’ll be out enforcing littering and violations carry a $500 fine.
  • We have a "Leave No Trace" ordinance in effect, which means if you leave umbrellas, canopies, or other items on the beach overnight, they will be discarded.
  • Glass is banned at all beaches and alcohol is prohibited in most areas. Alcohol is permitted at East Beach/Apffel Park, Porretto Beach, and west of 61st St to 16 Mile Road. Alcohol is prohibited in all other areas on Galveston Beaches.
  •  Remember to continue taking health precautions and socially-distance from those not in your family. Where social distancing is difficult, please wear a mask to protect yourself and others.

Have fun and safely enjoy!
