Applications open for more than a dozen city boards, commissions

GALVESTON, TX – August 3, 2020 – Are you interested in serving your city in an area of interest and expertise?

The Galveston City Council is considering appointments for several city boards and commissions, and we encourage interested residents to apply.

The City Council will consider appointments to the boards and commission during the September 17, 2020 council meeting. Certain boards -- Planning Commission, Wharves Board and Park Board -- require candidate interviews. Interviews for the planning commission and wharves board open positions will take place on September 10, 2020. Park board appointments occurred earlier this summer.

Interested candidates may access and complete the electronic application online at www.galvestontx.gov/servemycity. For questions regarding the electronic application, applicants may email the City Secretary’s email group at CitySec@galvestontx.gov or call 409-797-3510.
