Galveston, TX – April 30, 2021 – The 25th Annual Grand Kids Festival returns this weekend in downtown Galveston with dozens of activities for kids and families.
The Grand Kids Festival will take place downtown on Postoffice Street between 20th and 23rd streets on Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission and certain activities are free with other proceeds benefiting children’s programs at The Grand 1894 Opera House.
There will be road closures in the area in advance and during the festival. Beginning Friday afternoon at 12 p.m., the following streets will have temporary closures:
Friday at 12:00 PM Temporary Closure:
Postoffice (20th to 21st Streets)
Postoffice (21st to 23rd Streets)
22nd Street (Church to Market)
Saturday at 7:00 AM Temporary Closure:
21st Street (Church to Market)
The event ends at 5 p.m. and the Traffic Department will begin reopening immediately as booths and stage areas are dismantled and cleared. Streets will be reopen no later than 7 p.m.
