Weather update! Galveston is under a coastal flood advisory in effect until at least 1 a.m. with strong rip currents expected until at least Thursday night.
The National Weather Service is predicting scattered storms beginning tonight through Wednesday or Thursday morning. We could experience as much as 8 inches of rainfall over that period.
The City is implementing its pre-storm management plan by clearing debris and collecting items that could impede drainage.
Please stay tuned to local weather reports and use caution when traveling in the rain. If street flooding occurs, avoid driving on roads covered with water.
