City launching new, redesigned utility bill

Galveston, TX – Sept. 6, 2019 – Residents and businesses may notice a change to their utility bills this month as the City of Galveston launches a new billing layout.

The City of Galveston redesigned its utility bills to create a more customer-friendly design with the important aspects of customers’ bills available and easy to view. Our top priority is delivering first-rate customer service and ensuring our customers stay informed about their accounts.

“The City’s Utility Billing Department has made several changes in recent years to best serve its customers and this bill redesign is part of that effort,” City Manager Brian Maxwell said. “The new bill has a clean design that makes it easy for customers to find important information about their bills.”

The new design will appear in mailed-out utility bills beginning in mid-September. It features a message board where the City of Galveston can communicate relevant information to customers and easy-to-read account balances. It also shows water usage and a summary of charges.
