Island hosts Galveston County Mayors and Council Members Association

mayor 4 2020

The City of Galveston had the privilege of hosting the Galveston County Mayors and Council Members Association on Wednesday night at the new Fire Station 1 downtown.

The association meets regularly in different communities around the county and includes members from all the cities in Galveston County. The association provides opportunities for local leaders to meet, get to know each other and share ideas about how to best serve their communities.

Mayor Jim Yarbrough was the host for January's meeting and several Galveston City Council members, as well as city staff, attended the gathering.

Thank you to everyone from across the county who attended and made this such a great event! Special thanks to the City Manager's Office for organizing this event.
