Rumor Control: The City is still billing for utilities

Rumor: A post circulating on Facebook says the City of Galveston is not reading meters or billing for water.

Fact: This is not true. The City of Galveston’s meter system reads meters remotely. The City is still billing for utilities. We are encouraging residents to pay online or over the phone instead of paying in person. Bills can also be mailed to 823 Rosenberg, Galveston, TX 77550.

Online payment is available at www.galvestontx.gov/paymywaterbill
Walk-ins are allowed, but strongly discouraged.
