Support the #BuyGalvestonFirst campaign

We support the Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce’s #BuyGalvestonFirst campaign.

What does this mean for shoppers? Particularly in the next 14 days, if you can afford to do so we urge you to spend your money locally and support Galveston’s economy.

How can you do this? If you need to order something, before purchasing at a large retailer online, call a local business who may sell the same or similar item. Many will be happy to set the item aside for you to pick up while still practicing safe social distancing. Many also offer online sales where you an order from your home.

We know Coronavirus has created a lot of uncertainty. At the City, our first priority is the health and safety of our residents and taking measures to protect that will always come first. We also want to continue to support our local economy and jobs. We can do both. #BuyGalvestonFirst

In the coming days, look for more resources and information from the Chamber, local partners (including the City) and local businesses about how to continue shopping local while practicing safe social distancing.
