Fixed Routes (Bus Routes)
Island Transit runs several fixed routes serving different parts of the island. Fixed Routes travel the same path each day, and you can board the bus at designated stops along the route. See map links for stops.
Rail Trolleys and Seawall Trolleys
Island Transit operates routes serving popular attractions Galveston Island has to offer from the beautiful coastal Seawall to the Historic Downtown Strand District. This service schedule operates Friday through Sunday during off-peak seasons (September - February) and increases service during Spring (March - May) offering additional service on Thursdays and during Spring Break. Peak season (Memorial Day - Labor Day) offers these services Wednesday through Sunday.

Route 1 Serving Broadway and parts of downtown.
Route 2 Connecting downtown and the UTMB campus.
Route 3 Connecting sections of midtown to downtown.
Route 4 Connecting the east end south of Broadway to downtown.
Route 5 Connecting the area west of 61st Street to downtown, along Avenue S.
Route 6 Connecting 61st Street and downtown, via Avenue O.

Saturday Route 1-3-4-2 Circular East to West, combining Routes 1-4.
Saturday Route 6-5 Connector North to South connecting Strand to Seawall
Rail Trolley and Seawall Trolley 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM *Click on route for map
Rail Trolley
This route is operated by a Historical Rail Car until sunset. After sunset and in the event of weather, a Downtown Loop Trolley bus will provide service on the route.
Seawall Trolley
This route is operated by a Trolley bus on the Seawall. It connects with the Downtown Rail or Trolley bus at 21st and Seawall.
